We don’t just carry out assessments, we offer a proactive service to advise clients on the best way to meet the requirements of EcoHomes. Now overtaken by the Code for Sustainable Homes we are still involved with EcoHomes on refurbishment projects.



Our senior staff are Fellows of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the foremost professional body in the Property Business with worldwide coverage and affiliations. A wealth of research, cost data and information are available to members in order to ensure that they are kept updated and can undertake their duties to the highest professional standards.

And for buyers, sifting through pre-qualification data and keeping it up to date adds up to a similarly wasteful job. Pozzoni is qualified to calculate SAP ratings, undertake Part L compliance tests, produce Predicted Energy Assessments and Energy Performance Certificates for new build housing. The On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor accreditation we hold with National Energy Services is proof of our qualification and competence which meets National Occupational Standards.  With this accreditation, we can also assess homes undergoing major refurbishment, extensions or other new building work that requires Building Control Approval.


Pozzoni is delighted to have its own BREEAM assessor, supported by BRE. BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and has become the de facto measure used to describe a building’s environmental performance.



Building to green or sustainable principles is an holistic approach that addresses social, environmental and economic issues. It is not a style or fashion but an enduring set of principles that looks at all aspects of construction from site preparation through to reuse, recycling and reclamation. Sustainable building considers how the construction will affect the wellbeing of people and natural ecosystems.



The Code for Sustainable Homes is a national standard to encourage sustainable development and the higher the level achieved the more energy efficient the dwelling is, meaning it will use less energy and therefore cost less to run.
